How Resistance Force is Calculated
The resistance force is calculated by considering both the frictional force and the components of the applied force. Here’s the formula used:
Frictional Force (Ffriction) = μ × N
Horizontal Component (Fx) = F × cos(θ)
Vertical Component (Fy) = F × sin(θ)
Net Resistance Force = Ffriction + Fx
Horizontal Component (Fx) = F × cos(θ)
Vertical Component (Fy) = F × sin(θ)
Net Resistance Force = Ffriction + Fx
Where:
μ = Coefficient of friction
N = Normal force
F = Applied force
θ = Angle of applied force (in degrees)
